Delfino Verde Navigazione guarantees the right of persons with disabilities or reduced mobility to use local maritime public transport services, in accordance with applicable regulations. The transport of wheelchair users is permitted only with prior authorization from the captain, who will decide after assessing the overall travel conditions.
Wheelchairs and orthopedic aids, when allowed on board, must be positioned according to the captain’s instructions and must not in any way obstruct passenger movement or compromise the safety of passengers or navigation. All passengers, if needed, may request assistance from the crew, who will be available within the limits of their duties and without compromising the tasks assigned for navigation safety; assistance for the use of restrooms can be provided only up to accompanying the passenger to the entrance door.

Boarding and disembarkation

Boarding, always assisted by Delfino Verde Navigazione staff, is carried out using a gangway with a non-slip surface and variable incline depending on the tide level.

Cases of limitation or refusal of transport

The transport of wheelchair users may be limited or refused in certain cases.
There is no fixed number of wheelchairs that can be boarded: capacity depends on bicycles on board, the weight and size of wheelchairs, and the total number of passengers, as these may affect escape routes. In the event of unfavorable sea conditions (such as high or low tide), boarding and disembarkation of wheelchairs may be denied at the sole discretion of the captain.

Electric scooters

Wheelchairs that, due to their shape, height, or size, do not allow access via the gangway are not permitted on board.
The following are also excluded from transport:

• electric scooters;
• devices similar to electric scooters;
• wheelchairs or devices which, together with the weight of the person and any connected medical equipment, exceed a total of 300 kilograms.

Fare conditions

Without prejudice to the above provisions regarding admission to transport in terms of fleet accessibility, usability of onboard services, and any boarding limitations that each captain may impose at their discretion to ensure passenger safety, Delfino Verde Navigazione does not provide dedicated fare reductions for passengers with disabilities.
